Rubber trees consumes harmful Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to produce Latex which makes it environmentally friendly unlike Synthetic Rubber.

A rubber tree is capable of absorbing 1 MT of CO2 during its 30-year economic life cycle and therefore, within a hectare with 300 rubber trees, a minimum of 300 MT of CO2 is fixed. (Source: Business Times, Sri Lanka)
